Water UK reports that there are approximately 300,000 sewer blockages every year, costing the country £100 million.

Thousands of properties suffer sewer flooding caused by these blockages, creating misery for homeowners and businesses and leading to high clean-up bills and increased insurance costs.

We are addressing this problem with a flood alert sensor that lasts for more than 10 years on a single battery.  By detecting rising water in underground pipes or sewers, our wireless sensors can identify water levels or blockages within the pipe, preempting an overground flood and its associated costs.

As water passes specific threshold levels, the sensor wirelessly communicates data via your chosen network (cellular, LoRa, etc),  to your control centres.
